Led by Founder and Executive Director, Melissa Higgins, LCSW, a leading expert in trauma therapy, with support from experienced, extensively trained and supervised therapists in trauma therapy –
The Center for Therapy & Counseling Services & Centered Wellness brings you a two-day workshop offering a transformative experience for anyone in their process of healing and growing from trauma.
Through engaging and meaningful activities participants will build connections and nurture their well-being. This dynamic experience will emphasize the importance of safety, peer-support, resilience, and growth after trauma. We offer this innovative retreat to you based on the belief that there are multiple pathways to healing.
“It’s scary, but the person you can uncover is worth it.”
To attend you need only be:
Kind, friendly and open.
Seeking to heal and move forward in life.
Open to working with others from different backgrounds.
Healing from trauma can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to be done alone.
“There’s something about the outdoors that’s helped me move on from my trauma memories and look inside. And to become—I wouldn’t say whole again, but just not so stuck in the past, if you will.”
The Growth & Healing After Trauma Retreat is for individuals who are seeking to heal from past trauma and reduce stress in a supportive environment.
Carving out space for healing is a smart investment in your best asset—you!
We welcome all people of every race, color, sex, nation of origin, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, profession, education, or walk of life. We welcome YOU.
$100 for one day
$150 for both days
Note that this is not psychotherapy, instead it is a workshop – as such, it will focus on building strengths to face trauma, education, peer support, and growth after trauma but will not include directly reprocessing trauma. This retreat is not appropriate for those in mental health crisis.
